CDS Data export error

Dear Team,


I dont know why Im not able to export my data from a custom entity

I wento to Entitites-->CustomEntity-->Data--Export Data.. and it shows the following error.

Please I need the data because I want to see the data via power BI.

Hi all, 


I've just received a reply from the support team in Microsoft and it mentioned that the environement has to be 7.0.4145.25191 or later. My version was 7.0.4145.25183, which cannot operate properly. Maybe you can check if yoru environement version is up to date. In terms of how to update it by ourself if the system failed to upgrade automatically, I am still waiting for their response.

Thank you Coolo0220 for your update. I tried again to generate the export a couple of times and it is working now.

Thanks very much for the update, I'm working multiple projects that I need to extract and import record set for, this is much faster than using a flow and it handles the image data better.

This is working for me as well...


I tested the template export - good

I tested the data export of a fair size recordset - good

I test the data export of a new empty database - this hung, needs error handler to build the table with zero rows

Yet to test the data import - Can anyone else verify staus?


I would make regular record set backups in case other fundamental error handlers are not working.

Now magically its working for me!






Microsoft Team replied that it was happening to everyone, which I believe the upgrade was rolled out to everyone yesterday. Hopefully the system will be more stable going forward.

Hi all, 


I've got the response from the microsoft support and here is the message: 


"Dev checked in changes to the backend service and introduced some new url actions to be called from the portal.  It looks like these changes have not propagated to all environments.  Import/export from the portal is failing on some environments because it cannot find the new url.  
and this doesn’t happen very often for sure."


Hopefully everyone's CDS is back to service! 🙂
