CDS = Users cant submit

Hi.  I created an app and tried to give access to new users.  When I went to share it, there was a dropdown.  I went with common data service user but they all received this error.  Please let me know what I need to do to give them submit/edit permissions.  thank you!

Hi @dyee4614 ,

Since your app is based on Common Data Service for Apps, except for sharing the app with Can use/Can edit permission,  your users must be assigned to a security role that grants them access to the data that your app uses. For information about how to create security roles and assign users to them, see Configure environment security.

When you share an app that uses an older version of the Common Data Service, you must share the runtime permission to the Common Data Service separately. If you don’t have permission to do this, see your environment admin.

For more information about sharing an app in PowerApps, please also refer to:

Users must have proper security roles in order to be able to read/write/delete in CDS

1. Create a security role
Go to the  Security Settings and create a new security role that includes all the entities used by your app.
2. Assign users to the security role
Open the Security Users page for your instance and choose the users you want to share with.
3. (Only for Model Drive Apps)Add the security role to your app
From the My apps page, select the shortcut menu on your app's tile to open the Manage Roles box. Choose the security role you created in step 1.

I figured it out.  It is a custom table so I had to give everyone access to the custom table.
