Camera Control - single tap, multiple photos: Android PowerApps Player

Getting multiple reports that a single tap on a camera control is resulting in multiple photos being taken in our App which is running under the Power Apps Player on Android devices.
So far I am unable to reproduce the issue.
The photos are taken on the OnSelect event of the Camera. Stream is set to 0 (though I believe this is irrelevant as we are referencing Camera1.Photo, not Camera1.Stream).

Formula used is below:

Collect(
    colPhoto,
    {
        ImageData: Camera1.Photo,
        Description: "",
        _dsl_appointmentid_value: varAppointment, // varAppointment.Appointment,
        _dsl_jobid_value: varJob, // varJob.Job,
        _dsl_preinspectionid_value: varPreInspection1, //varPreInspection1.'Pre Inspection',
        _dsl_postinspectionid_value: varPostInspection, // varPostInspection.'Post Inspection',
        'Document Type': conAzureDocumentType,
        JobNumber: varAppointment.'Job Number',
        Reg: varJob.'Reg #',
        PhotoGuid: GUID() & ".jpg",
        PhotoDateTime: Now(),
        UploadAttempts: 0
    }
);
Reset(txtPhotoCaption);

It does take about a second between a tap on the camera and the photo appearing in a gallery which uses colPhoto for its source. Users are reporting that they are not performing multiple taps, are not wearing gloves and have not modified accessibility settings or other settings that might affect the registering of a tap. They report that the issue is relatively new (app has been in use for a few years now).

Preview and Experimental settings are turned off except for 'Enhanced Delegation for Microsoft Dataverse'.
