Can't Attach XLSM File

Hi,

Not sure if this is a known issue or what but I created an App based on my SharePoint list and need to be able to attach XLSM files. I've tried several other file types and they all work without issue, but for some reason when I try to attach an XLSM file it just hangs forever. Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

I can confirm that this is actually a bug.  It has been fixed, but the fix has not yet hit production.  It is scheduled to hit production next week (version 1805.2).

Mona, if attaching of XLSM files worked for you today, I suspect you must have used that version, for example by running on https://preview.preprod.create.powerapps.com

Hi @Anonymous,

I cannot reproduce your issue. I could attach .xlsm file successfully inside a form in the standalone app created using SharePoint list connection automatically.

How did you create the app? Is the attachment control inside a form control?

Mona

Hi @Anonymous

Perhaps you can try copying the contents of your XLSM file into a new Excel document, and saving it as a new XLSM file. If you're able to attach to your new XLSM file, this might suggest some corruption in the original file that prevents PowerApps from working with the file.

where can i find more informations about this bug? Is there a official site from MS?

I am not sure whether there is a way to see this on a public site, particularly since we were not aware of any customers being impacted by this defect - until now.  I will check and get back to you.
