Can't edit form with selected gallery item

I have a two SharePoint lists.

1) Onboard/Offboard

2) Documentation Update

In the documentation SharePoint list, I have a lookup field that references an "EmployeeName" field from list 1. It is a Text type field.

In PowerApps, I have my gallery list setup so that it shows all items in the list 1. When I click on one of these items it becomes the selected record. On the same page, I have an edit form that I want to populate from list 2 where the relational tie happens. So the form then would show the SharePoint list item from list 2 where I have selected a lookup name from list 1.

Can someone please help me with the item formula for this?

@HubbardInc

Set the EditForm datasource to your list 2.  Then set the Item property of the form to:

   LookUp(list2, EmployeeName.Value = yourGallery.Selected.EmployeeName)

I hope this is helpful for you.
