Can't find SharePoint list / Can't connect to list

Hi all,

I want to connect from PowerApps to a custom list in SharePoint (cloud).

If I add a new datasource and choose "sharepoint" I have to insert a sharepoint-website-url.

When I'm using the base sharepoint-url "https://<companyname>.sharepoint.com" I see some (system generated) lists.

I can't find my custom lists I created within sharepoint.

The direct List-Url does't work, too ("https://<companyname>.sharepoint.com/xyz_Test/Lists/TestCustomList/AllItems.aspx").

If I click on "create PowerApp" directly from the sharepoint list Powerapp will open and creates correctly a new app with the list's data. This works correct but as described above if I will MANUALLY insert/connect to this list I cant find them.

Please help!

Thanks a lot,

jup

Re: Can't find SharePoint list / Can't connect to list

Hi @jup,

You need to specify the URL to the proper SharePoint site (or Subsite). Take your testing lists as example, the lists URL is:

We should specify the Site URL with the following:

https://<companyname>.sharepoint.com/xyz_Test/

Please take a try and see if this would work.

And if you need any further help on this, please post back.

Re: Can't find SharePoint list / Can't connect to list

Hi, when providing the URL to a top level site collection, flow is able to detect the lists, however this does not work for subsite URLs. Is there a fix planned for this anytime soon?

Re: Can't find SharePoint list / Can't connect to list

Hi @sidfadnis,

Subsite URL works from my side:

5.PNG

There might be some limitation regarding the sub site type, would you please share more details for the subsite that you have created?

I just choose the default settings when New a subsite.

Re: Can't find SharePoint list / Can't connect to list

thank you for the reply. the subsite I have created is of type "Blog", and I am trying to send an automatic email on creation of a new blog post (new list item in the list /Lists/Posts/) within this subsite.

Re: Can't find SharePoint list / Can't connect to list

No matter how i type in the URL (Not copy and pasting either),  https://<company name>.sharepoint.com/depts/IT or https://<company name>.sharepoint.com/depts/IT/, flow cant find it within itself to actually work. i can type that address in a browser and it finds it just fine. Ive tried this on IE, Chrome, Edge with no luck. Flow is so buggy its rediculous, i mean, how hard is it to find a site if you provide the URL? Cmon MS, yall gotta do something about this, SPD would ALWAYS find my site

Re: Can't find SharePoint list / Can't connect to list

I have the same problem. The connection between SP list and Flow worked, and then, after I have spent few hours configuring the list--- bam... the list is no longer seen.  Whatever ways of selecting things I choose - nothing works.

Flow is a great idea but it is too buggy. And there is no way to manually point Flow to the DB.  No buttons like "get a new connection id" no troubleshooting. I will not make another list for another hours just to see if this time Flow will gave enough sympathy to not crash and burn...  Any ideas how to manage this?
