Can't manipulate values being generated from CosmosDB

We're working on creating an app that takes in data from Cosmos and displays it for the user to see. From there, they can theoretically update the information and send it back to Cosmos. We have a delete function working but can't seem to update a record in the table and send it back with new values. We've tried the Patch function but it's saying we need to pass it a table value instead of a record.

We have made a JSON object and sent it back to Cosmos, so we tried mapping the currently selected record to a variable, manipulating that, and sending it back to Cosmos but that variable appears to not be manipulable nor does it match the table data types (even though it's a carbon copy of a table record). The hope is there is some function that we don't know about that would solve our issues but we cannot find it.

So far we have working:

- Populate a table with the data from a container in Cosmos

- Add a record to a container in Cosmos

- Delete a record from a container in Cosmos

Not working:

- Retrieve a record from Cosmos, change it, send it back to Cosmos with changes.

If you can think of any source code you would need to solve this problem let me know and I'll post it in comments below.

Update: We solved this. No need to worry. I will stay subscribed to this sub if anyone runs into the same problem in the future.

Hey @ryanberry ,

I am also trying to connect powerapps to a CosmosDB running on Azure. At this moment I tryed using the CosmosDB connector but I am not able to show the data stored in CosmosDB in a powerapps table/gallery/variable.

Can you elaborate a litte on how you are solving it and may share some example code? Are you using the CosmosDB connector/a custom connector/ a flow?

Thanks a lot for sharing!
