Can't use datepicker in form

I am trying to use a datepicker in my edit form, but I can't seem to get it to work. I can't insert a datepicker into the card; it always just gets placed on the screen. I also can't seem to change the data type for my field. I don't have a Card screen that looks like the attached picture. There is no 'options' tab. Instead, I have 'Properties,' 'Rules,' and 'Advanced. There doesn't appear to be any way to change the data type.

Thanks!

Hi @kman42 ,

For adding the control inside a certain datacard, you need to unlock the properties from the right menu item and then select the data card and from the insert tab, try to insert the controls that you want to add into the data card and you should be able to do that.

As, you cannot change the data type for your field, you have to send the date through a datepicker converted as a string. For that, you need to set the Update property of the datacard to pick the value from a datepicker.

Please refer to the attached screenshot:
Here I have a string type column in my SP list and I have removed the text input from the data card and replaced it with a date picker and referring to date picker value in the Update field and converting it to a string so that it gets accepted while submitting the form.

Hope this Helps!

Hi @kman42 ,

If you mean that you have a date field that is not included in the Form, then please select "+Add custom fields" and then pick the field you want to add.

If you mean that you have a text field data card and you want to replace the textinput control with datepicker, then you need to first select this data card, and Unlock this data card. With this data card selected, select the textinput control to delete it, and then insert a date picker control. Finally, still with this data card selected, set its Update property to:

DatePicker1.SelectedDate

In addition, what is web browser that you are using?

Mona
