Can we use another environment in our tenant as data source for a virtual table?

There are two production environments in our tenant. I need to show data from one environment in a model driven app in the other environment. Is it possible to create a virtual table which reads data from another Dataverse environment?

Just to clarify, do you actually need to create and to connect to a 'virtual table' from another table?

If you just want to display table data from another environment, you can select the 'change environment' context menu to access the tables from your other environment.

Thank you @timl!

Forgot to mention that this is about a model driven app.

The guide in Virtual table walkthrough using the OData Data Provider in Microsoft Dataverse - Power Apps | Micros... explicitly states, that it cannot be used but does not provide an alternative on how to connect to another environment. Any ideas?
"You can't use the OData v4 Data Provider to connect to another Microsoft Dataverse environment."

Hi @kv

Thanks for clarifying that. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer with regards to a model driven app. But hopefully, someone else might have some suggestions.
