Canevas App Not Showing lookup data in radio buttons

Hello,

I have an issue I cannot understand. I hope someone can explain it.
For example, I have 2 tables in the Dataverse :

  • Order
  • Product

I have a relation one-to-many between them (Order -* Product).
In the app I use and a form to edit an order like this :

However, for the product field (the lookup to my product table), I don't want a DropDown but Radio Buttons. I taught that adding the control in the card and populating the items with the data source as the DropDown should be working, but it's not.

Items of the dropdown :

Items of the Radio Buttons :

If I target specifically the productname, it's working. But I need to able to use this other columns of my table for filtering and sorting.

I managed to make it work by creating a collection form the lookup data, but it's seems more like a workaround than the right way to do this.

I tried as well this a gallery and I have the same behavior.

So why the data of the lookup is shown in DropDown but not in a Radio Buttons or a Gallery ?

Thanks !

No, I'm not allowed to use Parent.Default.ProductName however ThisItem.Product.ProductName is working.

Hello @leumas09 ,

Why not try to directly put the Products table in the items property?

I think it would make no difference to the logic.

Let me know if this helps

Hello @MichelK

Thank you for your answer. Yes it's showing the values. But how do I select, the selected product for the current order in the edit form ?

The parent.Default is the default value of the card : ThisItem.Product

I think you need to write Parent.Default.productname (the column you're displaying)
