Cannot upgrade PCF solution

I cant see how I can upgrade my PCF solution. As far as I am aware I just need to bump the version in the manifest file, repackage and on import it should pick up the change.

However, when I import it always tells me I am still on version 0.0.1 and that this version is already imported, is there any other steps to perform to get this to work?

To summarize:

• Change the control version in the ControlManifest.Input.xml
• msbuild /p:configuration=release
• Import the resulting .zip file
• Import reports same version and does not import

Hi @camer314 

After you change the control version in the manifest, can you run "npm run build" before you call msbuild, to see if that helps?

No that doesnt help either. I am still confused, this is the versioning in my manifest file

 

Then I (from my solutions folder) do:

• npm run build
• msbuild /p:configuration=release

Which produces a new zip file which I then try and import but get this. What's confusing is why the version is pegged at 1.0 when clearly my component is defined as 0.0.2
