Cannot use variable in component

I am following This tutorial to create a dialogue in a component.
I am unable to put the variable (visible_variable ) created in the component to the Custom_Property_1(Output type) field. The error powerapps provides me is "Name isn't valid. 'visible_variable' is not recognized".
What is the solution to this problem?

I am trying to implement a dialogue component by following this tutorial :

In the tutorial, the variable "visible_variable" is set in the onSelect of the dismiss button and onReset in the component. This variable is also used in the output of the component named CustomProperty1.
My Problem is that when i put the variable in the output type variable of the component, The error powerapps provides me is "Name isn't valid. 'visible_variable' is not recognized". How can i remove this problem ?

Well, it was my bad. I was not assigning Output type on the custom property. Now it works.
