Canvas Apps - Insert record to a table with Primary Field setup as Database Sequence

Hi,

I want to create new Sales Order Header record from Canvas App. SalesOrderNumber field is setup has required and has sequence number on Database side. On Canvas App FormMode.New, Button with SubmitForm(FormName) function onSelect. 

 1 - If I leave SalesOrderNumber blank, client side validation kicks in for SalesOrderNumber is required.

 2 - If I fill in with next sequence number on click of the button I am getting the attached error.

Is there any way to let the action pass this step to insert record with database sequence for SalesOrderNumber?
