Cascading Dropdowns on a Customised Form

I have a Customised Form, with 4 cascading dropdowns, Title, Name, Email & Number I have a SharePoint List with the same 4 columns. In each field on my form, in "Items" I have the below: Title: Distinct('Promoter Directory', Title) Name: Distinct(Filter('Promoter Directory',Title=Dropdown7.Selected.Value),Name) Email: Distinct(Filter('Promoter Directory',Name=Dropdown8.Selected.Value),Email) Number: Distinct(Filter('Promoter Directory',Email=Dropdown9.Selected.Value),Number) The dropdowns work great, however the data will not save on my form when I submit it. I have checked the default field and those are all set to 'Parent.Default'

Re: Cascading Dropdowns on a Customised Form

Hi @jpacettf,

Could you please share more details about the data type of the 4 columns in your SP list? Are they Single line of text column or Choice type column?

If the 4 columns in your SP list are all Single line of text type column, please take a try with the following workaround:

Set the Update property of the Title Data Card (which contains Dropdown7) to following:

Dropdown7.Selected.Value

Set the Update property of the Name Data Card to following:

Dropdown8.Selected.Value

Set the Update property of the Email Data Card to following:

Dropdown9.Selected.Value

Set the Update property of the Number Data Card to following:

Dropdown10.Selected.Value

If the 4 columns in your SP list are all Choice type column, please take a try with the following workaround:

Set the Update property of the Title Data Card to following:

{
  Value: Dropdown7.Selected.Value
}

Set the Update property of the Name Data Card to following:

{
  Value: Dropdown8.Selected.Value
}

Set the Update property of the Email Data Card to following:

{
  Value: Dropdown9.Selected.Value
}

Set the Update property of the Number Data Card to following:

{
  Value: Dropdown10.Selected.Value
}

Please take a try with above solution, then check if your issue is solved.

Best regards,

Kris
