Change DataCard item to be a dropdown list of 365User "Display Name"

Hi how can I replace an existing datacard so that I have a dropdown containing the Display Name values from 365users.

I can build an independent combo box that allows me to select one displayname, i want to add the same capability to my edit form so it is part of the record saved.

(It would be good if the default value was the current user!)

Hi @AdrianTunley ,

Please try this:

1\ Choose one datacard. Unlock the data card and insert a dropdown control.(In my picture, I put it in the datacard of 'Title')

2\ Set Items property of this dropdown control to:

Office365Users.SearchUserV2({searchTerm:"",top:1000}).value

And set its Default property of this dropdown control to:

User().FullName

3\ The result is as follows:

Hi - I have the above working but still have a couple of issue.

We have many user records with lots of blank fullname and lots on non users so the list is not of great use.

Is there a way to use Displayname?

In the above you can choose from the dropdown but that still does not get saved during the submitform (as it's still picks up what's in the original datacard value.

(Note I have found an easier workaround - use "Person or Group" as the field type in the Sharepoint list) - this does create further challenges with filter/sort 🙂 )
