Changing Default Form in SPO list

Hi,

I have a two-fold issue.

1) I modified the default edit form for a SPO contact list to hide a column (employee cell numbers).  Now, I need to modify it and I can't find how to locate it... where am I supposed to be looking??

2) On the same PowerApps form, I have a contact photo which is of type "hypelink or photo" and in edit mode, it is only showing the photo. How do I get it to show the link field (where I normally paste a link)?

Thanks,

gpence

Re: Changing Default Form in SPO list

This issue was resolved by @Jeff_Thorpe  in another thread. I needed to reset the Edit form size back to 790 and the scroll bar then worked properly to display the column/field.

Thanks Jeff....

As a side note, the other suggestion about changing from a Picture type to a Hyperlink type was not relevant as the Content Type in my Contact List is Hyperlink or Picture...

Re: Changing Default Form in SPO list

Update: I can get into the form now, but when the Edit form is opened, it shows the actual picture and not the link to the photo library where it is stored. The contact photo is Card14 in the image below -- shouldn't it be set to Edit mode instead of View mode? The Mode parameter is grayed-out so I can't seem to change it. (I'm thinking Edit mode would give me the field to paste the link in...)

What am I missing here? @Jeff_Thorpe   @iAm_ManCat  Ideas?

Re: Changing Default Form in SPO list

Hi @gpence ,

The reason why you met this problem is that Picture data type is read-only in PowerApps.

While Hyperlink is not read-only in PowerApps.

So I suggest you insert Hyperlink data type, not Picture data type.8304.PNG

Please check this doc to see the limits of sharepoint in PowerApps:

Re: Changing Default Form in SPO list

Thanks,

I *think* I resolved the editing problem, but I'm faced with another issue now as well. My Edit form was 860 (I think) in height and I increased it to 1000, but I can't seem to get the form fields to resize or scroll down all the way, so when I publish it quits at the "Mobile Number" field.

All of my DataCards seem to be 86 in Height and I can't seem to reduce it to 80...

Ideas?

Thanks,

gpence
