Checkbox needs to be applied twice

Hello everyone.

This is my first message.

I am new to powerapps and I hope I could find some help to a topic that seems unsolved to me. I have a checkbox on a basic app connected to a table at onedrive. It seems that it works fine except that whenever I tick it or untick it and then press the save icon to get me back to the detail screen, the value is not updated and it returnes to the previous value, unless I do it twice. Does anyone have any idea why this happens? I am attaching a screenshot so you can understand how basic my code is and it might be a bug.

Thank you for your help.

On the Save button's OnSelect property, add something like this using your Checkbox's name:

Reset(YourCheckboxControl);

Re: Checkbox needs to be applied twice

thnx for the reply.

No luck with this one. reset gives me an error on the save button.

I might be missing something here and maybe I cannot understand your answer.

Re: Checkbox needs to be applied twice

What error are you getting? Make sure you replaced my "YourCheckboxControl" token with your actual checkbox name.

Re: Checkbox needs to be applied twice

That only resetable controls cane be used with Reset command.

Btw whats the logic behind the reseting the checkbox and not save it and parse it to the DetailScreen?

Hi @Tony_Boy ,

Firstly, are you sure you update successfully?

Could you show me the Complete datacard's Update property?

It should be like: checkbox1.Value

Secondly, could you show me the checkbox's Default?

It should be like:  Parent.Default

Thirdly, I suggest you refresh your data source after you update data.

Maybe data updating delay leads to this problem.

set the submit button's OnSelect:

SubmitForm(Form1);Refresh(datasource)
