Collections and GUID does not propagate after a new row is added to the collection

We have a collection and use the AddColumns as follows:

ClearCollect(ACollectionName,AddColumns('[dbo].[vwViewfromSQL]',"TextGUID",Text(GUID())));

And the GUID is populated nicely in the entire collection.

When we patch to the Collection, though, the TextGUID column is blank for the patched rows.

Should not these patched values inherit the TextGUID when the new records are added to the collection ?

Re: Collections and GUID does not propagate after a new row is added to the collection

If you are adding a new row with Patch() then you would need to set the TextGuid column with in the patch statement. If you are updating a row in the collection then the current TextGuid column value should remain unless it is one of the fields being updated in the patch statement.
