Re: Combo Box doesn't display options when items property is a People Group field in SharePoint list

Ah...Yes, there is no way around that....that is just how combo boxes work.

What I have done before when I want it more of a list to scroll through instead of that is I put in a Gallery that list those people out instead and make it just show when they click an icon so it looks like a drop down. You can also do a set value in a dropdown but I have only done that once. The problem with using a dropdown instead of combo box is you will always have to have a value and it doesn't work for searchable...and it is just harder in several ways. The one I used it on was fine because it was only three people that don't ever change and it was a required field for me...but I don't use it often.

The having to type three characters is a combo box setting (that can't be changed), changing the list it is pulling from will not change that part. Our users didn't like that at first with Combo box but they quickly got used to it so I typically stick with the combo box now. But everyone is different. There are a few options for "work arounds" if you just really don't like it.
