Combo Box not returning all items when searching a large SharePoint list.

I have a combo box with a SharePoint column as its source. I understood that comboboxes could delegate searching to the server and that large lists could be searched this way.

I have got around this by adding rows to a collection in batches using collect. This allows the user to search and find items at the bottom of the list but it results in slow app loading. I would prefer to be able to use a combo box to search.

The combo box is outside of a form. I have put the SharePoint list directly into the items property. When I tried the usual method of Choices(SharePointList.Column) it wouldn't recognise the column (checked using internal name and the alternative syntax of Choices([@SharePointList].Column).

Hi @Digital ,

Combo box searches are no different to any others when it comes to Delegation and are restricted to your limit in their search function (they will generally "turn off" the Search option if the result is over your limit).

Thank you @WarrenBelz . I must've misunderstood the Microsoft documentation. It says:

'The search is performed server-side on the SearchField property so performance is not affected by large data sources'.

I interpreted that as you can search the entire data source. I'll stick with the collection method I'm using as it works although sluggish.
