Combo box, conditional Display Field

Hello,

I have a table with descriptions in different languages.
Example:
Id--Drescription_EN--Description_FR

and I a have a button where you can choose a language through a Set variable called selectedLanguage.

I added a ComboBox where the Items is this table and on Display Fields I added an IF statement where
IF(
selectedLanguage = "EN",
[Drescription_EN],
[Drescription_FR]
)
Since I am learning I am not using a cascading if statement or switch. For now I am trying to show different languages. It works when is EN but when is FR is doesn't show anything. It seems that have a list of items but they are all blank.

Can anyone help me?

thank you

Hi @Fil_1 ,

Trying to conditionally show alternate items on a drop down/combo box is problematic and I have found produces results like you are seeing, even though there is no error. You are better using a collection with the same fields (but different content depending on the language) and displaying the collection.

I will try to see what can I do with this info. I am testing this with a SQL database that is done in this format so for me i will have to pre-load to a collection to use through the app, however the column names are different so this is going to be a problem.

Thank you
