ComboBox MultiSelect Update only adds new selections

Hi,

In my SharePoint PowerApps form, I have a ComboBox that updates a Choice column called Rooms (multiselect and user fill-in are enabled on both).  I want users to update the column with added items (e.g. initial column value was Room 101, and the user can add 102 and 103 later). In this scenario, I have it working where the form pops up with the Room 101 already selected in ComboBox.  The user can select the additional rooms - it appears that now 101, 102, and 103 are selected.  On save, column updates to 102 and 103 only.  Are either my default or update formulas incorrect?

DataCard Properties

DefaultForAll(ThisItem.Rooms,{Value:Value})
UpdateForAll(
Rooms_combobox.SelectedItems,
{Value:Result}
)

DefaultSelectedItemsForAll(ThisItem.Rooms,{Value:Value})

Hi @TrueBlue008 ,

You could set Datacard Default property to:

ThisItem.Rooms

Set Datacard Update property to:

your combo box control.SelectedItems

Set combo box control's Items property to:

Choices([your list.Rooms)

Set combo box control's DefaultSelectedItems property to:

Parent.Default

Hi @TrueBlue008 ,

This is because the column names are different.

The column name of the items formula is Result.

But the column name of the Default formula is Value.

So you should rename the column name.

Please modify the following two formulas:

RenameColumns( Sort(Distinct(GEDCS_TCF03Rooms,Title), Result, Ascending)),"Result","Value")
ForAll(
Rooms_combobox.SelectedItems,
{Value:Value}
)

Hi Wearsky,

I did everything except update the Items property (I'm pulling from another List using Sort(Distinct(RoomsList,Title), Result, Ascending)).

However, now on save it's not updating at all.

@v-xiaochen-msft  How would I achieve the exact same functionality using a lookup column in Dataverse instead of choices in sharepoint? Thanks for your help.
