ComboBox should display the items but I don't want to select the items for filtering

Hello everybody,

I'm not sure how to explain it the way someone might understand.

I have a ComboBox and there are the O365 users listed.

Items:

'Office365Users'.SearchUser().UserPrincipalName

I have a Textinput which filters the table with UserPrincipalName (mail addresses).

Default:

Sum(Filter(CommonDataService, Mail = ComboBox1.Selected.UserPrincipalName),Amount)

So depending on the UserPrincipalName, record is being filtered and added up.

Got the total amount from each O365 user.

But what I'd like to achieve is following:

- I'd like to filter with UserPrincipalName

- I'd like that in the ComboBox DisplayName should be shown and not UserPrincipalName.

Thanks so much for helping!

Re: ComboBox should display the items but I don't want to select the items for filtering

Do this for your items property of drop down:

ShowColumns('Office365Users'.SearchUser(), "UserPrincipalName", "DisplayName")

And then set the value of the drop down, on the right side bard, to DisplayName.

Hope this helps!

Re: ComboBox should display the items but I don't want to select the items for filtering

Hey @ZabiBabar,

Thanks so much for helping. It has solved my issue. Just as simple if you know it.

You've described it for the drop down.

For the ComboBox, there seems to be no value property.

To solve the issue, please perform following:

Go to Advanced:

DisplayFields

["DisplayName"] should be entered.

That's all!
