Combobox and user look up not displaying data in detail view

I've got a field that uses a combobox to allow a user to pick who approved an item. But when the data is displayed on the detail form it doesnt display anything even though when i navigate to edit the form it correctly displays the user that was selected and saved previously.

Re: Combobox and user look up not displaying data in detail view

To assist you, we'll need some additional details/screen shots on the combobox where you are making the selection and how you are using it to filter your data for the detail screen.

Re: Combobox and user look up not displaying data in detail view

@LRVinNC  Thanks for the quick feedback!

The common data service entity(Suppliers) has a data field of "Approved by" which is a Look Up of the Users entity.

The combo box in the edit screen has the following set:

Items: Choices(Suppliers.'Approved By')

DefaultSelectedItems: LookUp(Users, 'Full Name' = "Lance Aulabaugh")

DisplayFields and SearchFields: ["fullname"]

Datacard on the detail screen (view only) is locked and I havent made any changes to it.

Let me know if theres anything else that I can provide to help figure this out!

Re: Combobox and user look up not displaying data in detail view

I think what @LRVinNC posted still applies.  It's tough to guess exactly what you're running into.  I assume you're describing that a user selects an entry in control A (Listbox/Dropdown) and you want control B (your Details form) to display information relating to that selection, and the issue you're having is when it populates.

In that scenario, it really just comes down to what you're populating and when.  For example, if I issued an EditForm() command against a Form, then it takes a moment for the form to be loaded.  If you're navigating to a screen and then running that command, it can appear that the control is "blank" and then populated.  You could, however, issue the command before you navigate to the screen and it would hide this delay from the user.
