I am using PowerApps forms in a SharePoint list and I have about 5 choice fields that uses PowerApps ComboBox. I noticed that when viewing the values in the comboboxes are fine but once I click edit, it changes values (intermittently). It is very inconsistent. It happens (maybe) once in every 7. Is there a know issue with ComboBox and choice columns?
What do you mean it changes value?
Is the choice one not appear or other result?
I have create one SP list and has choice column, then gnerate the PowerApps in SP list,
Then insert the Combo box, of course if you make one choice, it will not show the selected one.
You should set:
Combo box.Item: Choices("SP list Name".Choice Column name)
The card's update:Combobox1.Selected
Hope this can be helpful for you.
Thanks for the quick response.
Just to elaborate more on what I meant.
If I edit an existing item, the values shown in the comboboxes are different from the saved values. Note this is happening itermittently. It will be correct most of the time.
My forms are not apps but a SharePoint customized forms. To create the forms, I did the following:
1. From SharePoint List 'all items' view. Click on PowerApps and then customized forms
2. Generates a PowerApp forms
The only thing that I did that is different was change the sequence or order of fields in Powerapps and added some branding to the forms.
I will try to what you did and create simple form with a few fields and observe if the behaviour still persists.
Thanks again for your response.
I tested the issue using only one form and it works fine. It happens when using SP customized multiple forms.
For multi-forms, I followed this blog. I have three forms: one for new, edit and view forms.
I think the issue will show if user will switch from one view to another, for example, view -> edit or vice versa. Do this a couple of times and you will get inconsistent values in choice column. See screen capture below.
Hi @Anonymous, the recent reply is from myself. Clarifying what I meant in the original post. I have also discussed this with your (Microsoft PowerApps) support and they were able to replicate the issue in Microsoft's Lab. Your support team have submitted an incident to your development team. No response yet on when this will be fixed. I have been following up with your support but getting no response.
