Combobox not retriving Sharepoint number column

Hi,

I have my combobox for the display fields I have ["Title","Quote"]

Title is a single line of text

and Quote is a numeric column

Everything is fine if I set the Search properties just to ["Title"], but if I put both "["Title","Quote"]" the combobox becomes empty.

Any idea?

thanks in advance

Super easy to correct!  I assume you used a calculated column, right?  Go to Edit Column > Additional Column Settings in SharePoint and put this formula in the box.  Replace your_field_name with appropriate field.

=TEXT(your_field_name,"0")

Re: Combobox not retriving Sharepoint number column

@sajarac

ComboBoxes won't allow for a search on a Number type column.  There are 3 options:

#1  Change your Quote column to type Text

#2  Add another column to SP List called QuoteText and make it type Text.  Whenever a quote is generated write the Quote number here as well.

#3 If your control has a collection as the datasource you can simply add a new column

AddColumns(yourCollectionName, "QuoteText", Text(Quote,"0"))

Re: Combobox not retriving Sharepoint number column

Thank you very much for your prompt reply,

I have applied your option #2, and any idea why the number is showing this?

i.e field value : 456789

Field value in the combobox : 456789.0000000
