Combox cannot load pictures from collection

Hi, I am currently trying to create a combo box which calls people from the group created in Azure AD so far the collection seems to be working fine as I can view the peoples data i.e image jobtitle and name in the collection views but on Combo box when I try to call the collection and assign the same property i.e UserImage , It is not able to show the image of the person .

Here is the collection that I made and this seems to be working fine .

Here is the picture where I selected UserImage in image and it still does not show the Picture of the user

Here is the picture where it shows the items that is username and their job title but not their images.

So basically the collection is working fine as I can see the image of the user but not there image in the combo box.

Keep in mind ComboBox1.SelectedItems is a table, not a single record. So, putting .id at the end of it doesn't make sense to Power Apps because it doesn't know which record from the table you are referring to.

If you set up a gallery with ComboBox.SelectedItems for the Items property, then you can reference images in the gallery using ThisItem.imagefield notation.

As for the functionality that shows a "+4" replacement for more images than the gallery shows, please post that one under a separate thread so this one can be closed off and marked "Solved".

Regards,

Bryan

Hi @Anonymous

Can you verify the id which you passing to get a photo?

Office365Users.UserPhotoV2(ThisItem.Id) //I'm using gallery in this case

@Anonymous , I don't believe the combobox control supports using an image within it. A gallery is a better choice for trying to display multiple images.

@BCLS776  Yes I tried it but It shows me this and I am @StalinPonnusamy  trying to load the user group by creating a collection and then calling it in combobox. So I think so the approach is different here.

If there is no work around to show there picture in combo box itself when select and to convert blobmanager then let it be . but I am also trying to display the user images  from the combobox in gallery that were selected of the user . and I want to show there picture for atleast 5 users and on side, if its more than 6 people then it should show +6 or +10 If there are more assigned to a ticket .

Example :

You can make a gallery that displays only images next to your combobox, using ComboBox1.SelectedItems as the Items for the gallery. After that, it is only a matter of linking the correct image field with the image control in the gallery.

hi @BCLS776  I will create a new post about the +4 but here apparently I already have a serach filter which selects the title description and so on and When I am having hard time integrating combox.selectedItems here could you kindly advice me how should I set the code so the serach function also works and in the mean while combox items can be then called as well .

Arsal_0-1631725086711.png

Search(colActiveHelpTickets,TextInput1.Text,"SubmittedByName","Title","Description")

Thanks for your patience and help

I'm not sure I understand your question, but comboboxes are capable of searching their Items. If you type the first few characters of a person's name in yours, you should any matching choices appear for selection.

Is that what you mean?

@BCLS776 So basically I want to display the image of the people in gallery which I stored in column Assinged name in Sharepoint

Arsal_0-1631730434594.png

I Select the people from this combo box in Assinged and click on update to store them in sharepoint as well.

So basically my end goal is to display the picture of these people in gallery for all who I select .

I hope this explains well and sorry if I couldnt explain before.
