I made a cascading dropdown in Powerapps, based on a SharePoint list. So far so good, it works.
However, additional functionalities don't work, like: "if I select this value then it has to launch this page" or "if I select this value then it has to show this button" etc.
It works perfectly when I try exact the same commands on a normal dropdown (so not a cascading dropdown and not based on SharePoint). For example:
If(Dropdown2.Selected.Value = "Algemeen" ; Launch("www.google.com"))
Any idea why this don't work on cascading dropdowns (based on a sharepoint list)?
Thanks in advance

Hi @mdevaney ,
Thanks for your reaction.
Dropdown 1 Items: Distinct('Source List';Category) Dropdown 2 Items: Filter('Source List'; Category= Dropdown1.Selected.Result) OnChange: If(Dropdown2.Selected.Value = "General" ; Launch("www.google.com"))
I think the code is ok, because it works for a "normal" dropdown...
Can you please try changing this code
If(Dropdown2.Selected.Value = "General" ; Launch("www.google.com"))
To this code instead?
If(Dropdown2.Selected.Result= "General" ; Launch("www.google.com"))

Just thought I would explain...
Result and Value are the generic fieldnames for PowerApps dropdowns. There are cases where you must write the specific column names (so it would have been my next suggestion) buy for the 80% of people either Value or Result seems to work.
