Common Data Model Import data containing boolean field does not work

I have created a custom entity in CDM which contains some custom fields. I want to import data to this table from our on premises MS CRM system. I have exported the data from CRM using Excel Template and trying to import using the standard data import functionality in Power Apps.

I am facing an issue that I am not able to import the boolean column. In the CDM table, I have a boolean column called "Attended". Also in the import excel, I have a column called "Attended" which contains "True" or "False". However when I import with this, no data get imported. I recieve message "0 rows imported". If I remove this column in the excel and import, then all the rows get imported successfully.

I am not sure what is the problem with boolean column. I also tried by changing the values to "0" or "1" for the boolean field in the import excel, that also did not work. As a final try I used "Open in Excel" (to open the table in excel) and imported the same excel with some rows deleted. That also did not work as long has I have boolean column in the excel. When I remove this column, it worked fine.

What could be the issue? Can anybody help me to resolve this issue?

Hey Kiranshegde,

  I'm an engineer on the PowerApps team and am currently investigating your issue. Our team thinks that there might be a broader issue with the column you're working with, but we need more data.

  When an import fails this way, it should generate an error log (a zip file). Can you find this error log and, if so, are you capable of sharing that file with us?

Thanks for your time,

  Maxwell

Hello Maxwell,

Thank you for the response. Strangely I get the following error in the notifications section. I am not sure how is this related to boolean field.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

I am also experiencing the same issue trying to import data to my CDM enities using the xls template

<Error>
<Code>AuthenticationFailed</Code>
<Message>
Server failed to authenticate the request. Make sure the value of Authorization header is formed correctly including the signature. RequestId:14d43675-0001-008c-80ae-c22bde000000 Time:2017-05-01T19:13:12.9657368Z
</Message>
<AuthenticationErrorDetail>Error locating SAS identifier</AuthenticationErrorDetail>
</Error>

I'm experiencing the same thing.  Did anyone ever come up with a solution to this?

Have you tried importing with -1 as the true value? I've had success with using a smallint in SQL moving to Sharepoint this way.

I'm also getting the same error message. Has there been any resolution to this yet?

I am experiencing the same exact thing myself.  I have one Query for part 1 of my data that imports successfully everytime but part 2 of my data Query fails everytime with an error either exactly the same or similar. It's not the same error everytime but always has to do with authenticating.

i have the same issue, any news on this?

Save the file as CSV change from TRUE to True and import.

I dont know if it is the CSV format or the capital letters that made it work.
