Community plan and powerapps plan 2

Hi, I'm new in powerapps and I subscribed to a community to build skills.

When I try to create and now CDS to build my firs apps. It tells me that I subscribe to a plan 2 trial. Is it 30 days free trial? I just wan to build skills and do not share my apps for the moment and I need more than 30 days.

kind regards

Re: Community plan and powerapps plan 2

If you dont want to learn CDS specifically, then use an Excel spreadsheet or a SharePoint list as your datasource.  I have a personal; 365 tenant with 1 license which I use to learn with which costs me abut $7 a month

Re: Community plan and powerapps plan 2

Thank you AndyTuke for your answer. My goal is to improve my skill using full opportunities that powerapps provides.

They tell that CDS is included with the community plan.

I hope it is just a bug or maybe I have to register something 😞

Thank you again

Re: Community plan and powerapps plan 2

Hi @quentinfr,

PowerApps Plan 2 Trial gives you PowerApps Plan 2 for 90 days actually. And also, if you are using PowerApps Community Plan, then you should be able to use the Common Data Service as it is included in the PowerApps Community Plan. If your purpose is learning and building your skills on PowerApps, Common Data Services and Microsoft Flow, then you are in the right plan.

Re: Community plan and powerapps plan 2

Hi @v-monli-msft

Currently my clients has tested and succeeded in using PowerApps Comminity Plan.

So, I have no idea how to help them to migrate those Apps & Entities to Plan 2 (which they wishes to buy using the same workmail).

Please help,

Re: Community plan and powerapps plan 2

I prefer Azure SQL DB over CDS for many reasons.  Foremost is you don't need any special plans to use.  An Azure SQL DB Basic plan is more than enough for learning and for most apps.  It is only $5/month.
