Components and different environments

Hello community,

I have a some questions that came up while I was testing the component libraries and I couldn't find an answer inside the provided documentation.

I create an app and I use a component from an existing component library (both at env X).

What happens when I want to export the application and import it to env Y?

Is this component exported as well as?

Is the component library exported as well?

Is this component exported as local?

Do I have to export the component library myself and then reconnect it somehow with the component?

or

Is it better for me not use the components at all... 😀?

Any experiences or best practices would be extremely valuable!

Thanks,

Dimitrios

Hi @dchasanidis ,

What happens when I want to export the application and import it to env Y?  Work as normal

Is this component exported as well as?      Yes

Is the component library exported as well?    No

Is this component exported as local?    No, still can receive the Update from component library in env Y

Do I have to export the component library myself and then reconnect it somehow with the component? or Is it better for me not use the components at all?   No need to export/import the Component Library, it can work across the environments in my test.

Hi, did you resolve this as I have come across exactly the same issue.

According to the solution , the component library will remain in environment Y (DEV) and can be updated from there to an app sitting in environment X (Production).

Thanks

Dan
