I have a virtual machine on Amazon cloud (AWS) with a SQL Server. When I try to connec to a database on it using PowerApps web editor I get a message saying the SQL Server is not found.
I'm sure this is related to the inbound rules on the virtual machine, but does anyone know what inbound rules I need to allow PowerApps to connect to a database on AWS?
thanks
Solved! Go to Solution.
PostgreSQL is a difficult one. As far as I know the connector hasn't worked as well as you would expect.
See this post https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/PowerApps-Postgres-Connection-failing-for-Az...
But I think you may need a gateway to set it up and it can be touch and go. I use Azure SQL all the the time so not really tried the gateway route.
If you have the capability to create custom API then that would be the easiest solution. See this link.

If you are new to Swagger, don't be scared of it. Go to swaggerhub and spend a couple of hours on it. It will make your life easy when you are sharing your APIs.
