Connecting to dataverae from ms teams powerapp

Spoiler

Hi there,

I'd like to connect to our D365 CE from a ms teams powerapp. I've read about creating a custom connector in azure to take care of the crud activity. Using azure functions and api management. Is this achievable and what advice would you give. We cannot connect directly to dynamics for licensing reasons.

Thanks in advance,

K

I'm not quite clear on what you are trying to do.  But if you don't have a license to connect to dynamics then you don't have a license to connect to it from Teams either.  Dataverse for Teams is a separate database stored in a separate environment.  It has most of the same features as regular Dataverse (formerly Dynamics CDS) but its not the same.  Power Apps in Teams licensing covers access to the Dataverse for Teams database, but does not cover access to regular Dataverse.  For that you need a premium license (per App or per User).
