Control visibility of gallery

Hi guys, i'm working on a audit app, works online and offline.

I need to load some questions in this app, so in Sharepoint list of questions i have two important columns call: Questionary and Question.

Example: Questionary has the option call "Learning Powerapps" and Question has the multiple questions of that questionary.

So basically in Powerapps if dropdown value = "Learning Powerapps" i want to show a gallery with specific questions, or if dropdown value  = "Pro of PowerApps" i want to show other gallery with other questions.

There is a way to do that on visible properties of gallery?

I'm doing one sharepoint list to each Questionary i have, and thinking to use each list in each gallery.

Both columns are text type.

I tried something like that on gallery properties:

If(Dropdown = "Licoes Aprendidas, true")

But returns to me this error:

Incompatible types for comparison. These types cannot be compared: Control, text

In case of other sugestions to do that i appreciate it

@MarcosP OK.

Do add this list to your app. Add a Dropdown and name it drpQuestionarios. For the Items Property you would use this

Choices(BR_Table_Pergunta.Questionarios)

Add a Gallery and set the Items Property/Datasource to

Filter(BR_Table_Pergunta, Questionarios.Value =drpQuestionarios.Selected.Value)

Add an label inside the Gallery. For its Text Property use

ThisItem.Title

Thats it.

@MarcosP Any reason why you would use one list per questionary? Why not one list for all?

Beside that, if the lists have the same structure you could use something like that on ONE Gallery for the Items Property:

If(
    drpListSelector.Selected.Value = "List 1",
    IdenticalList1,
    IdenticalList2
)

You could also use a Switch Statement if you need to check on more values instead.

If you for some reason want to stick with multiple Galleries you should have a look at the Visible Property of the Gallery and use something like that

If(
    drpListSelector.Selected.Value = "List 1",
    true,
    false
)

@PowerRanger First of all thanks for you fast reply, about your question:

Any reason why you would use one list per questionary? Why not one list for all?

I tried to filter in gallery just one list but I couldn't separate the questions by questionary.

Example: Have specific questions of questionary 1 and specific questions of questionary 2.

There is a way to separate this questions based on dropdown value and use just one gallery and one list?

@MarcosP you could even use just one list…depending on your requirements.

A very basic idea would be you could create a list with two columns.

column 1: Questionary

Type: Choice

column 2: Question

Type: Text

you would now just add each question and set the appropriate Questionary

in your app you would link the Gallery to the this list. You would also add a dropdown and set its Item property to Choices(datasource.ChoiceColumnName)

For the Items Property of the Gallery you would use

Filter(datasource,ChoiceColumnName.Value = dropdown.Selected.Value)

@PowerRanger i'm confused, i will explan to you how it's the idea of the app.

I have a gallery with a label, the label represents the column Questions of the sharepoint list.

Outside the gallery i have a combobox (I changed it the dropdown to combobox) and the combobox represents the column Questionary of the sharepoint list.

So the idea is basically when select in combobox a questionary, example: Select Housekeeping in combobox the gallery needs to filter in label just the questions of this questionary.

The questions is, how to manipulate the label in gallery to just show the questions of determinate questionary? Because i don't have "Items" option in label select.

I take screenshoots to explain better:

Sharepoint: Title = Questions, Questionarios = Questionary

Again, thanks for your reply!

@MarcosP exactly. What type of column is Questionarios in Sharepoint? Text? Choice?
