Count items in dropdown

I've generated a dropdown list based on an 'Employees' entity, but I'm not getting all of the results. Is there a way to count the number of items in a dropdown list?

When I do a CountRows('Employees') -- it only returns 500. But when I open the data in Excel, it shows over 850 records.

I'm afraid this may be a dealbreaker =/

Hi @BrandonMcG,

The reason that it only returns 500 is not about the CountRows function, but the delegation in PowerApps. PowerApps imposes a limit on the amount of data that can be processed locally: 500 records by default. This number can be changed by going to the File tab, selecting the App Settings in the left hand navigation pane, and looking under Experimental features. Here you will find the "Data row limit for non-delegable queries" setting which you can change from 1 to 2000. This setting is app wide.

About delegation:

Thank you Mona! I was referred to the 2000 limit on "Experimental Features" by someone on Twitter. I won't be using it in a production app, but it's good to know that the team is working on it!

I came up with a workaround to use a combobox (actually better with the search functionality built in for my case) that gives me all the information I need.

Thanks again!
