Crash when viewing collections

Within my app, whenever I go to view the collections the app completely crashes within seconds and I have to relaunch PowerApps.

Could this be due to the collections themsevles or another issue?

Re: Crash when viewing collections

I also had this problem, it was happening when I was trying to view the collection described in this post.

I have written to Microsoft support, have given details, apparently they are working on it.

But not sure it is the same issue you are facing.

Re: Crash when viewing collections

My issue doesn't even allow me to get that far. i simply want to view my collections via the 'View' tab and selecting collections, and the app just shuts down with no warning or error message.

Thanks

Re: Crash when viewing collections

Hi @Anonymous,

To reproduce this issue, I create a simple Collection using the code:
Collect( IceCream, { Flavor: "Pistachio", Quantity: 40 }, { Flavor: "Orange", Quantity: 200 } )

I can check the collection via View tab or under File>Collections.

I don’t get the crash issue when I check the collection on both Web player and desktop studio.

Please provide more details so that I can reproduce this issue on my side.

How is your collection code configured?

Best regards,
Mabel Mao

Re: Crash when viewing collections

Hi, @v-yamao-msft

The collection is created through data from a SQL table. I am trying to view the collections through the 'View' tab but get a slight freeze then complete crash. Is there a limit to how much data can be included in a collection?

Re: Crash when viewing collections

I've been having the exact same issue but when pulling base64 image information in from a SQL table.

My guess is there's a hidden limit to the "cache" size when running a query that is causing viewing collections to crash as it happens like clockwork.

Re: Crash when viewing collections

Hi @Anonymous,

I haven’t seen any documentation on the limit on a collection. I will confirm and try to report it from my side and back to you if I got any updates.

Please try to use Filter or other delegable functions to try to reduce the collection size to see if it will work.

BTW, how many data are there in your collection?

Best regards,
Mabel Mao

Re: Crash when viewing collections

@v-yamao-msft

There are currently around 20 records in the collection, i do not wish to reduce it further as it will contradict the use of my application. The application itself runs fine and all functions work I just cannot view the records in the collection via the view tab.
