Create Connection for Second Screen

Hi everyone,

This's my app, which has 3 screens.main_app.png

For the "Edit/View PPE" (main screen), I can click inside and see item details. But when I click the "List Screen" (second one), it opens the below screen but I cann't click on the arrow ">" to see details. What should I do to be able to click the arrow sign to check item details? thanks

Yes, you will have to create a new screen to show the detail and perform the edit.  Both can be done on the same screen.

  • To create a new screen, pick any screen from your left menu, click on the three dots (...) and select duplicate.
  • Rename the screen as your_detail_screen_name.
  • Remove any unecessary controls from the screen
  • Insert an Edit form.  Rename the Edit Form to your_form_name
  • Change the Edit Form Datasource property to your_datasource_name and also change the Items property to your_gallery_name.Selected.  The Gallery name comes from your list screen
  • Go to your list screen and change the OnSelect property in your Gallery to
  • ViewForm(your_form_name);Navigate(your_detail_screen_name,None);
  • Go to your details screen and create a button with the text "Edit".  Change the OnSelect property of the button to
  • EditForm(your_form_name);
  • That's the general idea!

You'll want to change the OnSelect property of the Gallery to the following code.  This will take you to the next screen.

Navigate(your_details_screen,None);

The arrow icon should have the following code for the OnSelect property

Select(Parent)

Re: Create Connection for Second Screen

Now I see my issue. When I create the "New Screen" with "List" and then import data to work. For this screen, it only has Browsegally but doesn't have the "EditScreen" and "DetailScreen" for me to use the "Navigate" function as you mentioned above.

How do i open the Edit and Detail for the second screen?

Thanks
