Create a collection from SharePoint with ShowColumns where one of the columns is a user/group type

Hi,

I am trying to create a collection from a SP list. I would like to have only 3 of the columns: "ID" (number) "Title"(text) and "Owner" (user/group). The syntaxis is as follow:

      ClearCollect(colReport, ShowColumns(MySPList, "ID", "Title", "Owner")

That create the collection but with two issues:

  • Everything is a type text in the collection. When I use ID I have to convert it using Value().
  • The Owner column is a record and displaying the following icon Capture.JPG. I would like to add here the DisplayName od the record, but I haven't found the way of doing it. Tried Owner.DisplayName but it is not working.

Any idea on how to solve this?

Thanks

@Sam4

You can ADDCOLUMNS columns to include ID as a number data type and Owner.DisplayName as a text data type.  I suggest leaving the original columns in the Collection in case they are needed.

Put this code in a behaviour based property such as OnVisible or OnSelect.

ClearCollect(
    colReport,
        AddColumns(
            ShowColumns(MySPList,"ID","Title","Owner"),
            "ID_Number", Value(ID),
            "Owner_DisplayName",Owner.DisplayName
        )
);
