Create email template 1

I want to create a global email template through Settings, Template, Email Templates. In this template I want to use fields from my own custom entity.

When I click New, choose Global and OK I get an editor. When I click Add to add fields I only get the entity User. I can't choose my own entity.

In classic view I've set the option Sending Email... and save and published it. But that didn't help.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi @EllenHeijmans ,

Do you want to create a email template for your custom Entity?

Currently, the email template is only available for System Entities in CDS. If you want to create a email template for your custom Entity in your CDS Environment, I afraid that there is no direct way to achieve your needs.

Please check and see if the following article could help in your scenario:

Within above article, the user Kokulan Eswaranathan has provided a possible solution for this issue, please check the response in above article, then check if it could help in your scenario.

I think you need to explain further what you want again. Are you using office365 outlook?

Check this video if it can help:

- I went to make.powerapps.com

- I clicked the cobwheel for settings

- I chose Advanced Settings

- In the page that opened I clicked the arrow after Settings

- I chose Templates, Email Templates

- I clicked new and left the template type to Global

- I clicked the editor for the body and clicked Insert/Update

- I clicked Add for adding a field out of my custom entity that is in the solution

In this list I can only see the entity User. That's the start of the problem.

Microsoft says " Global templates can be used for any entity where the entity is enabled for email", but my entities are not visible here.

So therefore I returned to make.powerapps.com, opened my solution, switched to Classic View, opened my entity and set Sending Email... and saved and published it. But that didn't help.
