Create maximum screen width and height for responsive screen to avoid taking up whole device width

I want my responsive to have maximum screen width and height and not take up the whole width of the screen. On desktops the screen is too large and I don't have content to put in the screen. I tried to do: Min(App.Width, 1080) to set 1080 as the maximum but it is not working

if you look at the Screen.height and Screen.Width settings you will see that they are set using a formula.

Max(App.Height, App.MinScreenHeight)

I would change the App.Height in that formula to Min(app.Height, Maxvalue)

Max(Min(App.Height, <<yourmax>>), App.MinScreenHeight)

Do the same for Width

I just tried this on my end with Min(App.Width, 600) as an obvious example and it seems to be working for me. Maybe try a relog and see if it starts working for you then. you could also try to test it on mobile just to verify that it is resizing the screen.

Hello @Pstork1. Would you mind to explain a bit more for this issue? I am facing the same situation my app looks good in Mobile, canvas and tablets. but in a windows mode my screen is Width "1966" and the content inside looks weird. I would like to set as the maximum as Canvas width. Whatever exceeds that number always will be canvas width.

Thanks in advance

Are you following the setup as described here: Building responsive canvas apps - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn If you are and are still having issues could you provide some screenshots and describe a bit more what you want it to look like.

Hi @Pstork1 , Yes. I am getting a blank space in the right side of the app. If I resize the window size the empty space will dissapear.

Are you doing anything with nested containers inside the app screen?  The screenshot would suggest that the app is filling the whole screen but some container inside the app isn't resizing to fill the remaining space.

Yes, I have some containers in the screens but the entire app. I mean every single screen is forced to the left side of my monitor screen.

If you are using Responsive design to build it then you need to set all the X, Y, height, and width of the containers too. I suspect one of the containers has X set to 0 but something is constraining the width value.

Thank you very much for your help @Pstork1 , Everything is workign as expected. BTW Do you know if the PDF viewer has a bug in the responsive design? I have been trying to add the control to a container and it has been impossible.

Thanks again for your help.
