Creating Custom connector for OData in powerapps-Problem with loading all records due to Pagination

Hi,

I am trying to create custom connector for OData in powerapps. I have created it and was able to get the data in powerapps but the number of records are being limited to 100 as OData has pagination issue [which displays only 100 records at a time in the JSOn response and provides next link request URL for next 100 and so on] and I need to access $OData.nextlink url to access the next 100 and then of that response have to pick the new next link url to get the next other 100 records which is painful. Is there a way of automating this process with a single Request URL rather than using a new request URL to get the next 100 everytime. I am new to using OData and I'm quite not sure how to deal with this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sai

Re: Creating Custom connector for OData in powerapps-Problem with loading all records due to Paginat

Hi @SaiRK,

The below is a reference link for OData.NextLink:

How to get List of all Users (Not only the first 100)

While within PowerApps, the function to start the call is defined through the Connector definition, there is no proper way that I could see to implement the foreach within the action.

The Response body of the first request should contain the NextLink, which I think should be available through:

CustomConnector.Run().NextLink or something,

That should be available to use in order to get the data for next page, then use collect to combine the data.

If you have multiple pages, then you may first take a try to get the pages number first, then use that within a

forall function, after that,  pass the page number into the URL (from 1 to Top mumber), with corresponding page parameter defined within the Get function.

Describing parameters

Regards,

Michael

Re: Creating Custom connector for OData in powerapps-Problem with loading all records due to Paginat

Hi Michael,

Thanks for answering. But there isn't any Run() function to run the next link obtained in the response. Some how this gap has to be bridged and there has to be a way of accessing and running the next link else we will be confined to only 100 records. Is there a way of doing this if so can you be more specific. Thanks for your help.

Thanks

Sai
