Greetings,
I have a SharePoint list of requests and a second list of processing items. Each item in the request list will be joined with a single item in the processing items list.
I know how to handle the new and existing request item and all of that is working just fine. What I don't know how to do is create a new processing item when a new request item is created. And come back to that same item when an existing request is being edited.
The end result is basically two forms on a single screen; one for the requests and one for the processing items. They need to be linked. I'm using a tabbed type interface for the two forms.
I do understand since its a one-to-one relationship, I can just merge the two lists to one but that's not what my client wants.
Thank you for your help in advance.
Hi @Bob365
Sometimes the OOB edit form does not fit every solution and a work around is more trouble than its worth. In cases like this, I like to create my own forms. @Meneghino has a very nice blog post that describes step by step how to do it. As a designer, I learned a lot from this post and it has helped me to handle many custom requests. Take a look and see if it helps. https://baizini-it.com/blog/index.php/2017/09/28/powerapps-101-create-your-own-forms/
