Cursor jumps to the end while typing in a text input box

Hi power apps experts,

I have been experiencing a strange and irritating issue with my app. I have a simple textinput box.
There is a lot of text in this box.

Sometimes, when I am typing text in the first line of textbox. While typing, the cursor jumps to the end of line and I am suddenly typing at the end of line.
This happens multiple times during a day. It always jumps to the end of line.

I have tried placing the text input control in a form, out of a form, changed browser, I am simply not able to fix this issue.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks.

Any news about this subject? I encounter the same problem with a large text field in  a form.

It happens in dev and published mode. And it happens in different browsers.

I tried to put the form with just that text field in an empty screen.

I also tried to recreate the screen and to delete the field and create it again without success.

I would be really grateful if Microsoft could solve this bug.

Hi @Anonymous
This solved the issue. The text field's display mode should be "Edit" as shown below:
and yes, of course it is Edit all the time. Here is the issue, power apps sometimes automatically, without warning changes display mode to blank, just nothing, not "View" or "Disabled" but just blank.
This was my issue. I deleted the field and made a new one with same logic and made sure Display mode was "Edit"
all the time. Could you check if this is causing the issue in your case as well.

Thank you @SearchingYT , I am glad to hear you solved your poblem!

Unfortunately I couldn't see any problem with my display mode. I even tried to recreate all the form as you mentioned but my cursor still jump with a large amount of text. I am really afraid this is a Mircrosoft bug or a problem inherent to my customer.

I will keep you updated if I find any solution (one day I hope)

Hello

I am having the same issue. Where do you find the Display Mode? I am working on a iMac.

Thank you, Laurie

It happens every time, automatically

Glad it’s not just me experiencing this. It is really annoying when editing searches in Edge. Every character that is added/edit within a previously entered search string causes the cursor to jump to the end of the string. Usually results in me retyping the whole search string again when trying to correct spelling errors or refine searches.

Have the same problem with cursor jumping to end. Problem started a few weeks ago.Dont know what to do to fix except I've stopped using MS/Bing.

Agreed it is frustrating, the text box normally changes to a blue background at the point the text jumps, missing a digit and jumps to the bottom.

I saw this happen using Bing on my iPad. Checking over settings I saw that “ See search suggestions as you type” was set. I turned it off and went back to try it and the problem was gone. Hope it works for you.
