Custom Page - Date Picket - Format Date

Is there a way to format the date in the date picker found in the "Custom Page Canvas"

I am aware of the work around of copying and pasting the control from the normal canvas app to the custom page canvas to get the additional properties, but this would seem to be a glaring omission to not to be able to change the date format.

@MKeppel ,

Can you check if the Format property of the datepicker control. You can set the format by using (dd - day,  mmm - month, yy - year) as you like.

Hope it helps !

This property is not available in the custom Page Date picker control (the controls in the custom page is different to that in the canvas app controls)

Hi @MKeppel ,

I did the same test and got the same result.

So far, the custom page in model driven is still in the preview stage .

I suggest you submit an idea or submit a support ticket.

Hi

Is there any update on this? Have you been able to change the format of the Date picker in the custom page? For us it's always showing  MM/DD/YYYY Format but we want to change it to DD/MM/YYYY.

Thanks
A.

Nah I just proposed a company wide policy that all dates are now MM/DD/YYYY format because it was the easier solution, and clearly the more superior date format...

But before getting the policy signed off, I though of this solution

Add a text control which goes on top of the text part of datepicker control.

which its text property as Text(DatePicker1.Value,"dd/mm/yyyy")

This will at least display the date in the correct format, however will limit the ability to select the date by having to click on the calendar icon.

As you know the controls in Cavnas apps are slightly different to that found in the pages. You are able to copy and paste those controls over to each other environment. The design is looks of is slightly different, but it is another solution. So another solution is copy the date picker from canvas app to page. which you have the ability to change the date format.

I know this is getting older and older, but below could be a 'good' solution, not the best, but the best for now.

That does however also has its limitations - i.e. no option for MinDate and MaxDate, like the new DatePicker has.

I have added this as a new Power App Idea. Feel free to up vote it. Add the Format property to the Date Picker in Custom Pages · Community (powerapps.com)
