Custom SharePoint Form - Insert Form without DataCards

Hello,

I thought this would be a common question but can't find a solution anywhere.

When inserting a form in the studio and adding the data connection (SharePoint List) it always populates the form with DataCards fior the majority if not all columns. When working with SharePoint Lists with a large number of columns it can take forever to delete all the unwanted DataCards.

It seems there are 3 ways to remove unwanted DataCards:

  • hitting Delete on each DataCard in the preview
  • On the Form properties (right hand side) hit 'Edit Fields' and selecting the ellipses on each one and select "Delete"
  • Same as above but on the Tree View (Left Hand Side)

Is there a way to either:

  1. Insert a Form with a Data Connection with no DataCards pre-populated
  2. Quickly remove all the unwanted DataCards

Thanks

J

@JGregson

Sorry, no such function at present.
The method I often use is to hold down the CTRL, left-click to select all DataCards, then click on any ellipsis to select Delete.

Hope this helps! You can also submit an idea to PowerApps Idea Forum with a quick-remove function for EditForm.

Thank you @v-siky-msft

At least I can speed up the removal process. I will look to raise the issue as an idea
