[DELEGATION] SHAREPOINT LIST FAIL

Hi All,

Before anything, i read, read again and read again this document's:

https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/delegation-overview/

https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/delegation-list/

Maybe I haven't interpreted it correctly. But i used this formula in a SharePoint List:

Filter(RegistroPagamentos;ALUNO.Value = GALLERY_1.Selected.NOME)

SharePoint List is a Delegation Datasource;

Filter is a Delegation Function;

This operator = (only string) is a Delegation operator and yet i receive blue-dot suggestion and my application can't list all records (limited in 500 row's)

i used others formulas too for test:

Filter(RegistroPagamentos;StartsWith(ALUNO.Value;GALLERY_1.Selected.NOME))

and

SortByColumns(Filter(RegistroPagamentos;StartsWith(ALUNO.Value;GALLERY_1.Selected.NOME));"VENCIMENTO";Ascending)

But no success

Hi @Moises,

Thanks for the feedback.

Delegation is not only related with the function, data source, the field type also have effects on that.

Would you please explain a bit for the ALUNO.Value, and the GALLERY_1.Selected.NOME ?

Regards,

Michael

Hi @v-micsh-msft,

Thanks for your answer.

The Aluno is a Lookup Field in SharePoint and Value is a String Value for this Field.

GALLERY_1.Selected.NOME is a String Value selected in a gallery of this Screen

When i click in a value in GALLEY_1 I'd like Filtering the registers in gallery_2, but I'm being stopped because of this limitation.

I don't know if you could understand me.

Hi @Moises,

Lookup type currently is not supported for delegation.

As a workaround, we could take use of the following way to make the filter work(without delegation remindings):

Filter(
Addcolumns(RegistroPagamentos;
"SampleALUNO";
ALUNO.Value);
StartsWith(SampleALUNO;
GALLERY_1.Selected.NOME)
)

Regards,

Michael

Michael's workaround should be marked as the solution. The dot operator for filter is not delegated, but this works like a charm!
