I opened powerapps today (was working fine yesterday) and found that none of my data sources would connect. When clicking add connection the box is empty. Access the connections form web.powerapps.com it says 'Failed to retrieve the connections', clicking add gives the following error:
Encountered internal server error from Azure Resource Manager. The tracking Id is 'a4931833-5f8d-4f7a-a60d-e2a34bf7e523'.
This is a great concern - we were about to roll out powerapps to a test group, but if an app is going to randomly deny all data connections then I have a problem! Please can someone help me diagnose whats happening and make sure it doesnt happen again?

iOS: Apps work great until PowerApps-Update from (09/21). Since then->infinity load
Windows 10: Same behaviour with infinitely loading on execute. Data connections not connected on development.
Edge: PowerApps->Connections "Error on loading connections"
Now the strange part:
Windows 8.1: Apps can be executed, data is shown. Development shows connections and data.
IE 11: Apps can be executed, data is shown. Development shows Connections and data.
That seems not like an Azure outrage. It is more an upgrade failure!
The App & Connection data has to be updated with PowerApp-Update at the same time, I guess.
EDIT: It definetly works on my Win8.1 maschine. The Store-App, IE11 and Edge. Just created a new entry, which was processed by a flow and updatet within the app.
On my Win10 maschine it doesn´t. Neither the Store-App, nor in any browser.
Same on iOS.
Didn´t got time for tests on Android and WinMobile.
I have the same issue, trying to connect to CRM data sources and i get "Not Connected" and "An unexpected error occured"

@Anonymous I am unable to replicate - I have infinity load on IE 11, Edge and Powerapps desktop. Nothing is working for me.
I agree with the previous messages - this has created a huge lack of confidence internally for using powerapps which is a shame as they could offer so much.

I can confirm the repeat issue in Europe region has been mitigated. Access to environments in other regions were not impacted.

I can assure you that we take such incidents very seriously. Steps have already been taken to self-heal the affected service roles in case this particular issue occurs again. A full postmortem will be carried out internally and further repair steps will be instituted to prevent further occurrences.

Hi David,
Thanks for the update. Whilst the connections now display correctly from the backstage menu, the datasources are not loading in create.powerapps.com if you hover over the yellow ! triangle it says "An unknown error occured". I have tried restarting my sessions using IE, Edge, Chrome and the desktop app without success.
Is there anything I can try? Within the app data sources still say "not connected". Other apps are working without issue after the outtage.
EDIT:
Readding the data sources has worked however I now how 'Not Connected' data sources in the app? Given it has the same name it has added _1 but none of the references in the app have changed - there are many.
What do you suggest I do?
I had this the other day @Anonymous; you need to remove the old data connections first, then re-load them, otherwise they will add in as new data sources.
By doing this you should get (mostly) good connections, but may have to rejig one or two smaller issues.
Thanks for the heads up - how do I delete them? I can't see an option.

The Reading Dynamics 365 and Power Platform User Group is a community-driven initiative that started in September 2022. It has quickly earned recognition for its enthusiastic leadership and resilience in the face of challenges. With a focus on promoting learning and networking among professionals in the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform ecosystem, the group has grown steadily and gained a reputation for its commitment to its members! The group, which had its inaugural event in January 2023 at the Microsoft UK Headquarters in Reading, has since organized three successful gatherings, including a recent social lunch. They maintain a regular schedule of four events per year, each attended by an average of 20-25 enthusiastic participants who enjoy engaging talks and, of course, pizza. The Reading User Group's presence is primarily spread through LinkedIn and Meetup, with the support of the wider community. This thriving community is managed by a dedicated team consisting of Fraser Dear, Tim Leung, and Andrew Bibby, who serves as the main point of contact for the UK Dynamics 365 and Power Platform User Groups. Andrew Bibby, an active figure in the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform community, nominated this group due to his admiration for the Reading UK User Group's efforts. He emphasized their remarkable enthusiasm and success in running the group, noting that they navigated challenges such as finding venues with resilience and smiles on their faces. Despite being a relatively new group with 20-30 members, they have managed to achieve high attendance at their meetings. The group's journey began when Fraser Dear moved to the Reading area and realized the absence of a user group catering to professionals in the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform space. He reached out to Andrew, who provided valuable guidance and support, allowing the Reading User Group to officially join the UK Dynamics 365 and Power Platform User Groups community. One of the group's notable achievements was overcoming the challenge of finding a suitable venue. Initially, their "home" was the Microsoft UK HQ in Reading. However, due to office closures, they had to seek a new location with limited time. Fortunately, a connection with Stephanie Stacey from Microsoft led them to Reading College and its Institute of Technology. The college generously offered them event space and support, forging a mutually beneficial partnership where the group promotes the Institute and encourages its members to support the next generation of IT professionals. With the dedication of its leadership team, the Reading Dynamics 365 and Power Platform User Group is poised to continue growing and thriving! Ayonija Shatakshi, a seasoned senior consultant at Improving, Ohio, is a passionate advocate for M365, SharePoint, Power Platform, and Azure, recognizing how they synergize to deliver top-notch solutions. Recently, we asked Ayonija to share her journey as a user group leader, shedding light on her motivations and the benefits she's reaped from her community involvement. Ayonija embarked on her role as a user group leader in December 2022, driven by a desire to explore how the community leveraged various Power Platform components. When she couldn't find a suitable local group, she decided to create one herself! Speaking about the impact of the community on her professional and personal growth, Ayonija says, "It's fascinating to witness how everyone navigates the world of Power Platform, dealing with license constraints and keeping up with new features. There's so much to learn from their experiences. Her favorite aspect of being a user group leader is the opportunity to network and engage in face-to-face discussions with fellow enthusiasts, fostering deeper connections within the community. Offering advice to budding user group leaders, Ayonija emphasized the importance of communication and consistency, two pillars that sustain any successful community initiative.
