Data Table - Containing too many decimal places

My SharePoint list contains values with two decimal places - which is what I want.

However, in my Data Table, there are about 10 decimal places. How can I fix this? I've only found the way to fix this in the data card.

You will need to add another column to your datatable that is your sharepoint field formatted properly.  IE: AddColumns(mytable,"calcfield",Text(myfield,"xxx.00")). This will need to be in the Items property of the DataTable, then select the new field to display in your DataTable.

Hi Lmauriceparker,

I just created an app with the SharePoint list connection. And there is one list column with Number type and all items I entered with 2 decimal places. But after I connect this column to Data Table, it will only show integral like this:

But it shows correctly in a gallery:

Did I misunderstand anything? Could you please take some screenshots about the detailed information?

Mona

The columns I'm having the issue with are calculated fields from a sharepoint site. However, I've set up the fields to only display 2 decimal places. Multiple places still display in the app.

PowerApps knows nothing about any formatting from SharePoint types. If you wish to format numbers in a particular way, use the Text() function to do so.

Thank you, but I did not see an area in the Data Table settings to modify the text. I did see it the options whenever I need to update a datacard.

Hi,

have you solved the issue? I am facing it too. I am having decimal numbers with just two digits after the dot, however table shows 10 places, with some random numbers:

Whereas in a form:

There is no way to format data in columns of the Table control in PowerApps. The only solution I found so far is to change column type to "Text", but this is not a desired way as in such approach I need to build custom validation etc...

How to solve it?

Regards,

Tomasz

Bonjour @Raymond_MADEC,

The way to do it is to use the AddColumn() function on the datasource of the table and format the new column.

Suppose  you have a datatable with a number column called, par exemple, dollars that you would like to format as US currency.  You would set the Items property of the datatable to

AddColumns(datasource),"Currency",Text(dollars,"$#,###.00")

Then go the the right hand side of the screen and look at the fields property of the datatable.  Et voila, there is a new field Currency at the bottom of the list properly formatted.  You can then uncheck the dollars checkbox and check the Currency checkbox to replace the old field with a new properly formatted field.
