I'm having trouble with my data displaying in the app. While I'm in edit mode, I can see the data, but when I click on the play mode, it says "no item to display".

Can you please make sure that you have something on your Item.
Select the form on the left side of the screen.
Use the pull down menu near the top left of your screen to select ITEM
In the function box, type in:
Defaults(List Name/ Date Source)

Please check your form's mode.
The form's mode is edit by default.
In this mode, the form will display the form's item. If you haven't set the form's item, it will show "no item to display".
If you set the form's mode to new.
In this mode, the form will display a new form of empty value. But when you submit the form successfully, the form's mode will change back to edit, then the form will display its item. If you haven't set the form's item, it will show "no item to display".
So I recommend you set the form's DefaultMode: New
