Date / Time not writing back to Sharepoint List

I have not been able to find an answer to this problem I am trying to get my head around.

In my sharepoint list I have a date/time column:

I have created a Powerapp from the list, letting Powerapps/Sharepoint devise the data cards. So I have fields to enter the date/time:

I have two issues:

1. There seems to be no easy way to format the date format from US (above) to UK (DD/MM/YYYY).

2. This may be related - but a picked date/time does not save back to the Sharepoint list when I submit the form. All other fields do.

Can anyone help please?

I wouldn't use forms for that. You better create your own form and you will have no problem at all with anything. You can find more info how to create your own form here

the sharepoint rest api requires dates to be written back in iso format, so you wold ned to deal with that. it's a shame that the default generated app does not work.

Im not sure what your setup is but can you add another field/column and have that convert it to display the value you need in the correct format.

e.g. -

1. Create a new field/column in the SP List

2. Add a statement on the OnChange of your Date/Time picker to:

UpdateContext( {TimeStamp: Text(DateTimeValue(I_DateTime.Text), "[$-en-GB]dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm AM/PM") } )

3. On the new field set its default to TimeStamp

I have used this before but only to display it in the powerapp not with sending the data to the SP List column.

Let me know if you have any questions.
